Programme Support Officer
• Programme Support Office of the SEPA-DD Europe Programme
• Manage small discrete projects on own with limited supervision
Key role deliverables: (criteria/results by which success can be measured)
The Programme Support Officer is responsible for:
• Set-up, track and update mlestones/risks/issues/dependencies/assumptions/ plans/schedules for SEPA DD Europe programme
• Participation in governance meetings (and ad-hoc meetings):
o Preparations (invites, chasing action updates, send out minutes/agenda, etc)
o Minutes
o Follow up on resulting actions
• Manage Programme budget
• Collect Progress updates, draft report on progress and escalate when necessary to Programme Manager
• Prepare management information, based upon reports, milestones, schedules, etc.
• Maintain plans/schedules in planning tools
• Cooperate with Programme Manager on issues/upcoming actions/analyses/reviews, eg.:
o Updating/Reviewing programme ToR / Programme Plans / Business case document and get these signed off by relevant stakeholders
o Ensure efficient and effective use of available people and other resources
• Manage small discrete projects on own with limited supervision
• Maintain and develop knowledge of project methodologies (e.g. RBS Change framework) and a professional network of contacts, sharing knowledge and best practice where appropriate to support continuous improvement
• Collaboration with others on Programme (Support)team
• Where role includes management of project resources this will require coaching and training & development whilst on the project
Skills
Business knowledge
• Banking experience
• Change Management or related Project Management experience
• Detailed knowledge and experience of project life cycle
• Risk Management experience
• Project or Programme Support office experience
• Experience of a range or project types in the banking/payments business (RBS / ABN AMRO experience will be an advantage)
• Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workloads and work on own initiative
• Excellent communication skills in English (in writing and verbal) and to different management layers
Other Significant Role Requirements: (Any further key factors which have a bearing on a candidate’s ability to perform)
• Flexible attitude is required, e.g. with last minute actions (like collecting/writing reports)
Required technical skills
• Knowledge of project methodologies including project management and control tasks e.g. monitor budgets, complete project reporting and project documentation including Terms of Reference and project workplans
• Familiarity with workshop facilitation and business analysis
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications
• Planview (or comparable) knowledge is a pre
People Management:
• Management of project staff, providing development and coaching as required
• Communicates with people (verbally and in writing) at least two levels above and demonstrates leadership in their day to day activities persuading others to follow
Financial Management:
• Budget control / financial management throughout the programme

Maximum rate € 63,00 per hour (all in, ex VAT)
